Page Damage
Dog-earing of pages does not degrade the condition of books considerably, but "A" books will not usually have
any dog-eared pages. There may be some discoloration of the pages of older books due being printed on acidic paper, but this is usually very faint. Any books that have any water damage will be marked as such, because it greatly decreases the value of the book. Water damage not only goes through several pages, but also may discolor them like in the top image. Other times it does not discolor pages but does leave them feeling crinkled and looking warped, as in the bottom image of a book edge. The dark areas in the bottom image are just shadow, not discoloration. |
